Gizmo (male JRT X chi ) is 8 and Sal (female terrier) is around 15! This sweet old pair are looking for a forever home together after their loving owner recently passed away.
Gizmo is house-trained but he scent marks. This has improved since he’s been in foster but hasn’t totally stopped. Sal is a bit incontinent. She goes outside but also on and off puppy mats and sometimes wee just dribbles a bit. The vet has provided Incurin to try. It has helped to some extend (ADIN will pay for this medication going forward).
They are like an old married couple who get on most of the time but have occasional arguments! Sal is a bit deaf and has glaucoma in one eye. They would be OK with older children but a bit set in their ways for young children! Sal doesn’t like cats and she chases squirrels and birds so probably no cats or small furries. Other dogs are interesting!
They don’t like bigger dogs. Gizmo wants to be friends with smaller dogs and, if he is OK with a dog, Sal seems to be fine. One of the fosterers neighbours has a JRT, who they get on well with so living with another small dog might be possible.
Good on the lead. Don’t walk far or fast but always set off enthusiastically! Have travelled OK in the car in a cage but keen to get out!
These two need a forever home together where they can see out their retirement.
