Sparky is a male neutered ‘Jackawawa’ (Jack Russel x Chihuahua) of around 7 years old looking for a new home.
He currently lives with two cocker spaniels and we feel he would be able to live with other small/medium sized dogs subject to successful introductions, but could also be an only dog if he had his very own human to be with.
Sparky is prone to a little barking initially at visitors but soon settles, and especially at large dogs. Sparky has never lived with cats and barks at them when he sees them.
He walks well on a lead, but has generally been walked off lead where possible.
Sparky seems happy with both walks out and about (as long its not raining
!) or a toddle round the garden and a spot of sunbathing
! He enjoys indoor time playing with his human and some serious lap time will be expected
Unfortunately Sparky can be protective of his food, toys and chews and has ‘nipped’ on occasion. His new human will need to work on establishing boundaries for this behaviour.
For this reason we would not recommend a home with small children.
He can be left for reasonable periods of time up to 6 hours. He is crate and house trained and travels well in the car.
Can you welcome this little man into your life?
