Roxy (brown staffy) and Rio (white staffy) came into rescue when their owner was made homeless and unable to care for them any longer. They are mother and son (10yrs and 8 yrs), so we are looking for a home where they can stay together. Both of them love nothing more than a play in the garden followed by a cuddle on the sofa with you, although Rio will think nothing of climbing over Roxy to be first in line for cuddles!
Roxy is an easy-going girl, who is very tolerant of Rio, although she lets him know when she wants him to move by barking at him. She loves lazing in the sun watching the world go by. Roxy has no recall at present and cannot be let off lead in public areas – she does what she wants, when she wants!
Rio is always excited to see his human first thing in the morning. He is an active boy – getting into mischief when he can. He needs a secure garden as he is tempted by opportunities to get out and explore! He is working on his recall, but is not yet at the point of being able to be let off a lead in a public space. He is very orientated, and has learned to sit nicely for a treat.
Both dogs are strong on the lead, although their fosterers have found them much more manageable when walked in a balance harness.
Both neutered, chipped and up to date with vaccinations
No health issues
Can react to some dogs if allowed to linger near them
Probably a bit too interested in cats to live with one
Feeding time needs to be supervised otherwise Rio eats all Roxy’s food as well as his own!
Both strong on the lead, and are better with harnesses.
