Adopting a Dog

**OUR ADOPTION PROCESS**

Welcome to Aireworth Dogs in Need

If you’d like to be considered for adoption or fostering one of our dogs please email Aireworthdogsinneed@gmail.com to request a home check. We’ll need the full names of all adults in the home, your address and phone number. If your home is rented we’d also need to see evidence that your tenancy allows dogs PRIOR to the home check.

You can apply for a home check even if we don’t have the perfect dog for you right now as new dogs come in regularly and priority is sometimes given to those already home checked.

We don’t rehome outside of our catchment area. This is Keighley, Craven, Aire, Worth and Wharfe Valleys and bordering parts of Bradford and Leeds.

If you express an interest in a dog once you’ve been home checked we will look at your home check and if we think it’s a suitable match will be in touch in the near future. Please read the information about the dog and consider if s/he is a good match for you. If the post says no children under 10 or no cats for example there will be a good reason for this!

A rehoming fee of £200 applies to all adoptions. All dogs are neutered, vaccinated, wormed, flea treated and microchipped.

All adoptions are on a 4 week trial period. The rehoming fee is payable at the start of the trial period and if you decide not to keep the dog we refund 75% of this i.e. £150.
Please be patient through the home check and adoption process, we are all volunteers and so our best to respond as quickly as we are able.
